OR:27 The Resistance
THE RESISTANCE was formed in the fall of 2010 by lead guitarist/band leader Jerad Smith and his sister/drummer Jessica. With their talent, long weekly practices and the knowledge they learned from their OFF-RAMP 26 experience, the quartet has come a long way in a short amount of time.
The members – who attend Erskine Academy, Maine Central Institute and Warsaw Middle School – have many musical influences from classic rock, to metal, blues, alternative and country, and have created a sound they call their own.
The band has opened for The Misfits and Prospect Hill, and has appeared at many Central Maine clubs as well as The Winterport Dragway, Winslow Battle Of The Bands, China Days Festival, Bluehill Cancer Benefit and a teenage suicide awareness benefit they organized.
THE RESISTANCE has released their own EP of originals entitled “Jumpstart,” and their videos can be seen on YouTube and Facebook.
